Hashbrown
www.hashbrown.net

Oh, Hashbrown, we hardly knew ye. The Poor House seems more silent now with the absence of marathon, funkified Hashbrown shows. The little paper cut left on our hearts by the loss of bassist-vocalist Clarence “Jay” Spencer, guitarist Duncan Cameron and drummer Rick Kanner gets reopened and filled with lemon juice every time we think about it. The Hashbrown boys moved to New York City at the beginning of this year, though they have since visited us to drop a little bit of manna from funk-core heaven. In fact, check out the boys Sept. 24 and 25 at the Poor House in Fort Lauderdale and Sept. 26 at Dada in Delray Beach.
