Video Mix TV WFUN-Channel 48

Video Mix can be found amid the infomercials on WFUN six days a week from 8 to 10 p.m. Reaching from Miami into south Broward County, the show often breaks videos before MTV. "We let the local market decide what plays," says Jesse Coleman, founder of the Mix. "So it's natural that we do cross promotions with [305hiphop.com]. We need more community here. We're both trying to build a long-term cohesive community." Commerce has become the main obstacle for not only 305 but also Video Mix and local producers. "There's a difference between keeping it real and keeping it real broke," says Darnella Dunham of 103.5-FM (The Beat) and a contributor to the site. "They don't want to exploit the artists, but there has to be some giving back."
