Thousands gathered in LoDo Saturday to catch a glimpse of the 48th annual St. Patrick's day parade.
This year's theme "Shamraockin 2010" highlights some of the contributions made by Irish to music over the years.
An estimated 200,000 people packed into downtown for the parade.
The festivities continue Sunday morning with the "Running of the Green" LoDo's Annual "Lucky 7K" race. Participants start and end in front of McCormick's Fish House & Bar located at 17th and Wazee.
Public transportation will experience detours in the area of the race on the following bus routes starting at 9:30 a.m.:

- Route 9, Route 20 eastbound
- Route 1, Route 6, Route 10, Route 15-Ltd, Route 28, Route 32, Route 44, Route 52, Route AF eastbound and westbound
- Route 12, Route B southbound and northbound
- Free MallRide - The buses on these routes will continue running during the event. Riders can expect to add a few more minutes to their travel time because of the detours.
