PARKER, Colo. - A 40-year-old man was in custody in New Mexico Thursday, accused of soliciting sex from underage girls in Parker.
Nathan Isaac Gallegos was arrested in Albuquerque on June 15 after a joint investigation involving Parker Police, Immigrations and Customs Enforcement and the New Mexico Attorney General's Office. He faces charges of Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Promoting Obscenity to a Minor, and attempted sexual assault on a child.
In January, police say Gallegos contacted several females via online chat including -what he believed to be- a 10-year-old girl. The contact continued into June when an arrest warrant was issued.
Gallegos was in custody awaiting extradition to Colorado.
