DENVER - A man and his teenage daughter have been charged for allegedly trying to pass through a security door at Denver International Airport with a loaded gun on Monday.
District Attorney Mitch Morrissey's office says 44-year-old James Mueller gave his daughter a loaded handgun "for protection". The loaded gun was found in the girl's purse at a security checkpoint at DIA. Mueller claimed he had forgotten the gun was in the bag.
Mueller was released on $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on September 17.
