BOULDER - Police say a 39-year-old woman was beaten with a high heel shoe, leaving her with a broken nose and a face bone fracture.
The victim told police she was attacked around 1:30 Sunday morning outside the Tahona Tequila Bistro on Pearl Street in Boulder.
The woman says she left the bar when two women she says she did not know attacked her and beat her in the head with a high heel shoe.
Boulder police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley told the Daily Camera witnesses confirmed the attack. They told officers they saw two women standing over the victim "hitting her with a shoe."
She told investigators she doesn't know why she was jumped, and she couldn't confirm whether the other women were in the bar with her.
The only description police have of the suspects is that one of them was wearing a bright yellow tank top.
The attackers could face second-degree assault charges if police catch them. Anyone who may have seen the attack or who knows something about it is asked to call Boulder police at (303) 441-3333.
