Firefighters in Evergreen were called after one of their own fire trucks crashed, rolled down a hill, and landed on other vehicles.

One fire truck was coming down the hill Tuesday and tried to make room for another truck that was coming the other direction on Ponderosa Drive which is near Beaver Brook in Clear Creek County.

The first truck drove over a soft spot on the road, tipped to the side and rolled over one time, down the hill. It landed right side up on top of a parked car, an all-terrain vehicle, and a camper.

There was no one in the other vehicles.

The fire truck driver, 45-year-old Michael Weege, was alone in the rig and he was taken to Lutheran Hospital in Denver just to get checked out and make sure he was okay.
