How would you like a shot at stardom? If so, then Denver's Ellie Caulkins Opera House is the place to be Monday morning.FOX 31 is offering you a chance to win a guaranteed audition in front of the American Idol producers when the show holds formal auditions in Denver on July 12, 13 and 14th.
The Denver Idol Contest will be held Monday at the Ellie Caukins Opera House, inside the Denver Center for the Performing Arts Complex.
Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. Contestants are encouraged to start lining up ahead of time.
Contestants will be asked to perform one minute of a song a cappella before a special panel of judges. The winner gets a guaranteed audition in front of the American Idol Producers.
Contestants must be 16 years of age and no older than 28.

FULL CONTEST RULES Denver Idol Promotion
1. Station shall conduct, in accordance with this Agreement, a talent contest for the public for "American Idol" Season 9 ("Series") that will have prizing provided by FOX as set forth in Paragraph 2 below (the "Promotion"). The Promotion shall run from June 22nd, 2009 through July 6,2009 pursuant to the Guideline document attached hereto as Exhibit A and by this reference incorporated as though set forth in full herein, and shall be conducted in accordance with fair, written rules promulgated by Station. Notwithstanding the foregoing, FOX shall have the right, and Station shall preserve such right in the official rules, to cancel the Promotion in whole or in part and to change the start and end dates of the Promotion to the extent necessary to adjust to events of force majeure as well as to changes to production and broadcast schedules, without financial or legal liability of nature whatsoever.
To be eligible to win, the entrant must be a legal resident of the 50 United States, must be 16 to 28 years old on June 12, 2009 (which means entrant must be born on or between June 13, 1980 and June 12, 1993), and must otherwise comply with all official American Idol eligibility requirements. Station shall be solely responsible for obtaining required parental consent for minors to participate in the Promotion and for otherwise complying with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, including without limitation privacy laws, FCC regulations and state and local lottery laws, and without limitation to the foregoing, Station shall be solely responsible for disclosing to the full extent necessary all limitations relating to the Promotion and providing IRS 1099 forms to the winners if applicable. Station must use first names only and no other identifying information (including without limitation the names of any schools, hometowns, employers, clubs or other organizations) when featuring or promoting contestants online, on-air or in person at live events.
2. In full consideration of Station's agreements contained herein, and subject to the limitations set forth herein, FOX agrees to provide (or arrange to be provided) for Station the following prize: one (1) winner selected by Station will receive a guaranteed audition in front of a show/casting executive at Station's designated audition venue provided winner meets all eligibility requirements, complies with all audition rules and completes all required paperwork. Winner will not receive preferential treatment for callbacks.
3. It is expressly understood and agreed that in the event the Series or Series audition is cancelled or postponed, FOX shall have the right to cancel the prize hereunder without substitution or compensation therefor. Station shall be solely responsible and liable for any additional prizes that Station includes in its publicity for and administration of the Promotion.
4. FOX agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Station, its parent company, or any subsidiaries, related and affiliated companies of each, and the officers, directors, agents, employees and assigns of each, harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, liability, costs, and expenses, including any reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of or in connection with the breach of any warranties, representations and/or agreements FOX has made hereunder; any negligent act, error, duty or omission of FOX, its officers, directors, agents, subcontractors, invitees or employees, and/or any occupational injury or illness sustained by an employee or agent of FOX in furtherance of FOX services hereunder; and/or any other failure of FOX to comply with the obligations on its part to be performed hereunder; and/or arising from the Series audition prizing provided by FOX for the Promotion hereunder.
5. Station agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless FOX, Fox Entertainment Group, News America Inc., Fox.com, FOX Interactive Media, Inc., FremantleMedia North America, Inc., American Idol Productions, Inc., Inc., 19 TV Ltd., 19 Merchandising Ltd., CKX, Inc., and their parent companies, or any subsidiaries, related and affiliated companies of each, and the officers, directors, agents, employees and assigns of each from and against all claims, damages, actions, liability and cost and expenses, including any reasonable attorneys fees, arising out of or in connection with the breach of any warranties, representations and/or agreements Station has made hereunder; any negligent act, error, duty, or omission of Station, its officers, directors, agents, subcontractors, invitees or employees, and/or any occupational injury or illness sustained by an employee or agent of Station in furtherance of Station's services hereunder; and/or any failure of Station to comply with the obligations on its part to be performed hereunder, including without limitation any claims, etc. relating to the official rules and/or other elements of the execution of the Promotion conducted by Station. 8. This Agreement contains the entire agreement of the parties, supersedes all prior agreements on this subject matter and cannot be modified orally.
