DENVER—
Denver police were investigating a murder after a double shooting inside an apartment complex Monday.It happened in the 9600 block of East Girard Avenue at about 3:00 a.m. The exact location was at the Glen Apartment complex near Hampden Avenue and the Kennedy Golf Course.
Police crime scene tape and several patrol cars remained at the scene at 8:00 a.m. Investigators were still waiting for a search warrant to go inside the apartment where it happened.
Officers received a report of gunshots inside one of the units and when they arrived, they found two men had been shot. Both went to Swedish Hospital where one was pronounced dead, and the second was being treated for critical injuries.
Police say they were looking for at least one shooting suspect, but did not release any other information Monday morning. They said they did not have many details about the shooting yet.
