Ingredients:
4 # Ground beef
ΒΌ # Rembrandt Gouda cheese (shred at counter)
2 Portabella mushrooms-medium sizes
2 pkg-French steak rolls-in bakery
1 head of green leaf lettuce
2 yellow onions
2 tomatoes-beefsteaks
1 12oz jar of mayonnaise-made w/ olive oil
1 jar of fire roasted red peppers-condiment isle
1 shallot
2 eggs
1 jar Worcestershire
Salt & pepper
Directions:
1. Mix the ground beef, shredded Gouda, eggs, one minced onion, finely chopped portabellas, Worcestershire, and salt & pepper.
2. Make 4-6 oz. patties (working as much air out of the meat as possible) and refrigerate until ready to grill.
3. Heat grill to a medium-high heat.
4. Place the mayonnaise, fire roasted red peppers, and minced shallot into a food processor and pulse until smooth.
5. Use cooking spray on the grill; place the burger patties on the grill. Cook until your preferred doneness is reached.
6. Slice the rolls in half lengthwise and spread your roasted red pepper aioli on the top and bottom of the bun. Layer with lots of lettuce, onion, and tomato.
7. Enjoy your burger!
Chef notes:
An aioli is just a fancy name for a "flavored mayonnaise"...by using premade mayonnaise it saves a lot of time and effort & keeps the desired flavor.
